Worship

As the worship team here at Sarasota City Church, the desire of our heart is to introduce and connect people with the Living God.

In Acts 15:16 it says, “After this I will return and rebuild David's fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things that have been known for ages.”

The Bible tells us that David was a person after God’s own heart. He established a tent, or tabernacle, which he dedicated to the continual worship of God. Worship in David’s tent was whole-hearted worship, and was expressed through singing, instrumental music, standing, kneeling, bowing, upraised hands, clapping and dancing. With time, David’s tent was destroyed and forsaken, but now is the time when God Himself is restoring this whole-hearted worship and we are so excited to be part of it.

It is our goal to exalt the name of God and make it known all over the world through music that comes from the depths of our hearts. We want to share our knowledge of God through our music so that “the remnant of men may seek the Lord.” It is our desire to see people’s lives transformed as they experience the love and power of God through praise and worship.
